Georgia Kokolis creates pictures that possess a warmth and energy reflective of her Mediterranean heritage. Her innate understanding and love of light and color stems from a childhood spent in Greece and her attention to ephemeral moments of colloquial life stem from a life-long obsession with cinema. Her photographs often dwell in the in-between, unscripted gestures and moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Georgia approaches her subjects with a narrative eye, capturing scenes that feel both spontaneous and deeply intentional. She has created print campaigns for Adidas, Kate Spade, Nike, Siemens, T-Mobile, Chevron, Timberland, Tommy Hilfiger and Virgin Records. Her work has been shown at the Scout Gallery in London and in Dove's traveling exhibition, Beyond Compare: Women Photographers on Beauty where her distinct vision of women received a great deal of recognition.
